Editorial Work

I work full-time as an editor. I was hired in 2005 at Time, Inc., a company that has changed hands several times and is now Dotdash Meredith. We are the largest print and digital publisher in the United States.

Work with Time Inc / Meredith / Dotdash

For nearly ten years I’ve run Proto magazine, a project out of Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. This “New Yorker of  medicine” looks at the ways medical innovation dovetails with technology, policy and culture. We run a print magazine, podcast, website and newsletters.

My time here also had me heading up a number of other publications.

I was hired at Time Inc. to reinvent The Record, a magazine published since 1818 by the American Bible Society. I headed this up for four years. Sample issue. During many of those years, I also headed up the nation’s largest casino gambling magazine—the cross-pollinating influence that began my work in games and religion.

Other favorite editorial projects have included a short-lived magazine for the National Parks Foundation, a year running the award-winning magazine for the New York Stock Exchange, developing the personal investing content platform for Merrill Edge, and chronicling the inspiring community at Epilepsy Advocate.
